The Stone Warriors are a species of living rock beings that reside in the Land of Stone, in the continuity of the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles comic strip.

History[]

Two robot anthropomorphs created by Krang, Mad Cow Denise and Mad Pig Pete, were dispatched to destroy the Hero Turtles. Pete hypnotized Leonardo and forced him to obey Denise's every whim. Under her command, Leo forced his brothers to accompany him and Denise to the Land of Stone, a remote location somewhere in Dimension X. She then abandoned the Turtles there.

Leo insisted on exploring the landscape, and the Turtles followed him, trying to figure out why their brother was acting so strangely. They eventually happened upon large, militaristic stone men, which they assumed were statues until they moved to attack. Leonardo insisted his brothers charge forward and attack, but they simply rolled big stone columns over them, feeling like a direct attack was suicide (which was the brainwashed Leo's intent), and destroyed all Stone Warriors present.

Sometime later, Krang planned to destroy the Turtles by luring them to Florida on the promise of an all-expenses paid vacation courtesy of an anonymous benefactor. After Rocksteady and Bebop and four mutant frogs fail to defeat the Turtles, Krang opened a portal from Dimension X, brining forth two giant Stone Warriors named Positive and Negative. Ambushing the Turtles in the Florida swamp, Positive took Michaelangelo captive, and the Stone Warriors threatened to pull him apart. Casey Jones and April O'Neil arrived in time to help the Turtles rescue Mikey and defeat the villains. Donatello doused Positive and Negative with the remaining contents of Krang's mutagen canister, causing them first to grow to ever greater size, then to mutate into gigantic duplicates of Bebop and Rocksteady. Unwilling to tolerate more then one copy of Bebop and Rocksteady, Krang decided to send the mutated Positive and Negative to "a lifetime's holiday on Dimension Y."

Appearance[]

The Stone Warriors resembled their 1987 animated series counterparts, but were much larger, and all of them were gray. Their bodies appear more muscular than their original counterparts as well, looking like bodybuilders made of stone.

Aside from being noticeably larger and stronger, Positive and Negative appear largely identical to the other Stone Warriors. In their first appearance, they brandish large clubs.

Demeanor[]

The Stone Warriors did not have much panel time, and as such did not have any opportunity to speak or perform any action other than advance on the Turtles. Like their other counterparts, it is unknown if they have any class other than military, or if their entire species are soldiers.

Positive and Negative communicated in fluent English, although they did not evidence particular intelligence or independent thought, being content to follow Krang's orders verbatim. After their mutation, they did not have time to demonstrate any communication before Krang banished them to Dimension Y.
