Stone Onai are a rock creature species that inhabit the mountains of Japan. They are used by the Ninja Tribunal as part of a training lesson.

Stone Onai are immune to conventional weapon attacks, and thus, must be attacked with mystical powers only. Their purpose is to teach players and Turtles alike the benefits of the mystical abilties at their disposal.

Notes and trivia

• Like many Japanese terms in TMNT: The Ninja Tribunal and TMNT: The Shredder Reborn, Onai is a misspelling of Oni.
• Stone Oni exist in the 2003 animated series with the same purpose, but have a significantly different appearance. The design for the show's Stone Oni is used for the Clay Onai in The Shredder Reborn, but they are presented as minions of The Shredder.
