Future Splinter is minor character that appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #89. When Splinter forgot the true meaning of Christmas, he was visited by the ghost of the his clan brother, Oroku Saki (the Shredder), who sent him three ghosts: Aka the ghost of Christmas past, Toad Baron the ghost of Christmas present, and Gothano the ghost of Christmas future. When it was Gothano's turn, he showed the present-day Splinter a dystopian future where Splinter's future self had become a violent and ruthless antagonist who had to be killed by his future sons, much to the present-day Splinter's horror. Later, the present-day Splinter decided to invite (technically kidnap) his sons and their friends to Foot Headquarters for a Christmas celebration with family and the children of Saint Robert's Orphanage.
