In the alternate continuity of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Deviations, Shredder and Kitsune are able to brainwash all four of the Ninja Turtles and turn them against Splinter. Old Hob is tortured for information on Splinter's whereabouts by the Turtles, and the after finding and fighting him, they bring him to Shredder. However, this was a ploy between the rat and the cat, and Hob storms into Foot headquarters with Slash in tow.
During the scuffle, Kitsune takes the fight with Splinter to the astral plane, where she transforms into a giant fox. Splinter is badly injured in the fight, and is losing, but the sudden appearance of Tang Shen allows him to turn the tables. Unfortunately, the fight took its toll on Splinter, and even though his sons are free, he dies as they gather around him.
