Speega is the leader of a clan of dinosaurs which were descended from ones that had escaped extinction by retreating to the center of the Earth. As their kind have evolved since their ancestors' time, they are capable of rational thought, tool manipulation, speech (in Speega's case), and bipedalism in the previously quadrupedal species.
Speega and his comrades are dedicated to rescuing and saving extinct species. They are also completely non-violent and refuse to harm a single living being. Upon learning the Foot Soldiers are mere robots, they however relish the chance to unleash some destructive tendencies.
