Space Station FC7490 appears in the TMNT comic strips as a location in The Voyage Home.
Travelling through space in Pilot Dude’s spaceship, the Turtles and their pilot are hijacked by Nasty Space Pirates. Since their ship is disabled, the Turtles and Pilot Dude trick the Space Pirates and take their spaceship. However, they are soon stopped by an undercover Galactic Space Officer. Because he is unable to supply a satisfactory answer as to the ownership of the vessel, Leonardo is tossed into jail on Space Station FC7490. When he is finally freed and before they continue their trip on to Earth, their spaceship is repossessed.
Pilot Dude wishes them good luck getting back to their home, saying he’s going to take the Space Station shuttle to his home. When Leo asks if they can take a shuttle to Earth. Pilot Dude says no because this is a high-brow station and there are no shuttles to Earth. The Turtles feel like they’ve just been insulted. Heading to the space station waiting room, the Turtles sit on the couch and start waiting for something to happen. They wait for hours and then Donatello states that they have to do something to help themselves. They go to the space station arcade and start playing video games.
Don then heads to the information booth to ask for help getting to Earth. The booth clerk replies in a language unknown to him and a dejected Don leaves, telling his brothers that it’s no use. A bored Raphael starts playing with the space station’s main power switch, turning the lights off and on. The Space Station Security Guard grabs Raph, telling him that tampering with the light switch is illegal. Just as all of the Turtles are about to get into trouble with the Security Guard, an announcement comes over the loudspeaker telling everyone to evacuate the space station because a Triceraton warship is headed their way.
Everyone vacates the space station, leaving the Turtles there all by themselves. Raph is fully prepared to fight, but Leo tells him that idea won’t work because the space station has minimal defensive capabilities. They are completely outgunned, and Leo says they need to make a plan on how they’ll survive a Triceraton attack. Michaelangelo comes up with the idea of tricking all of the Triceratons into boarding the space station and then the Turtles steal their ship. Mike says they can offer the Triceratons free haircuts. Though his brothers think the idea is goofy, it actually works. Unfortunately, when Don tries to figure out how to beam over to the Triceraton warship, he accidentally zaps them into a huge space whale.
