Trivia
- This is Stephen Murphy's (Dean Clarrain's) first TMNT writing credit. As he was previously famous for writing The Puma Blues, this issue contains some Easter Eggs from his previous comic.
- When the human Jack Finney tells the Turtles about manta rays, he uses a specific hand gesture against his head to try to illustrate the ray's head appendages. This directly echos a scene in The Puma Blues where a character makes the same gesture when explaining manta rays to a woman.
- After Finney becomes a mutant manta ray, he introduces himself as "Man Ray." This echoes a specific text phrase that appears on one of The Puma Blues' pages.
- This issue was reprinted with a new cover and coloring by Division Comics as Aqui Hay Pez Encerrado.
