The Snake Pit is a biker bar located in the lower east side of the New York City borough of Manhattan. The bar area curves around the left side of the space and there are tall-backed chairs in front of the bar for the customers. There is some regular table seating along the walls as well as an arcade game. In the center of the room is a pool table.

In his search for information, Shredder travels to the Snake Pit, accompanied by EPF Agent Alda Avon. Shredder approaches the Snake Pit Bartender and tells her that he is there to see King Cobra. She denies knowledge of any such person and when he insists, she places a phone call. After she is done with the call, she starts to reach for the sawed off shotgun under the counter, but Shredder advises against it. A pair of burly bikers then attempt to throw Shredder out and quickly learn that was a bad idea. Shredder forces one to take him to the basement and to the secret entrance leading to another section of the building. Inside is a cavernous space full of crates. Across from the entrance are stairs to another level where there are additional rooms, including the space occupied by King Cobra.
