Synopsis[]
Standing in an alley near a brick wall, a large man armed with a giant sledgehammer peers at a map. He believes he’s found the spot that will lead him straight into the bank. Lifting the sledgehammer, he smashes the wall and breaks through so that he can commit a bank robbery. Rather than a bank though, he’s broken into Murakami’s Noodle Shop. When Murakami sets him straight, the man demands to be given all of the noodles.
Murakami loads up a bag and the man slings it over his shoulder. He heads back towards the hole in the wall and then turns back, realizing he’s forgotten to leave his calling card. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a live slug. Dangling it between his fingers, the man introduces himself as Slug. He then tosses the slug on the counter and leaves.
Meanwhile, across town, the Turtles are engaged in a fight with the Kraang inside a warehouse. Donatello reminds Michelangelo to be careful around the crates stacked all around them, because they are full of ooze. Joking, Mikey asks if they’re afraid he’ll turn into a mutant. Raphael says they never know, this time Mikey might turn into something more intelligent, like a pepperoni. Mikey immediately starts drooling at the thought of pepperoni and Leonardo shouts at his brothers to focus.
Slug is still on the hunt for the bank and smashes through another wall with his sledgehammer. He’s wrong once again, having entered a Laundromat. So as not to leave empty handed, he forces the patrons to give him their laundry. At the warehouse, the Turtles are engaged in a regular brawl due to the sheer number of Kraang trying to protect their ooze. Suddenly the wall crashes down and Slug enters the warehouse.
The fight stops for a moment as all parties look towards Slug. The Turtles wonder why the new guy is carrying a bag of noodles and another of laundry. In turn, Slug surveys the scene and wonders if he’s just crashed a costume party. Raph tells him yes, and it’s a themed party called mutants vs alien robots, not laundry day. The already frustrated Slug drops his bags, lifts the sledgehammer, and shouts that they picked the wrong day to get in his way. He begins swinging his sledgehammer, but the Turtles are too quick and easily dodge the blows. The Kraang aren’t so lucky, and the blows meant for the Turtles end up smashing Kraangdroids instead.
Leo realizes they can take advantage of Slug’s presence and proceeds to call him a knuckle-head. Enraged, Slug swings wildly but hits more Kraangdroids and not his actual target. Catching on, the other Turtles begin taunting Slug who continues swinging at them and smashing Kraang instead. Soon the only ones left standing are Slug and the Turtles.
Facing off against the Turtles, Slug admits that they’re fast, but Don points out that he’s just really slow. In response, Slug hurls his sledgehammer at them, which they dodge, but the weapon does hit the crates, knocking them over on top of the Turtles. The crates burst open and canisters of ooze scatter across the floor.
As with his previous robberies, Slug is not going to leave empty handed and so gathers up an armload of canisters. The Turtles, on their feet again, move towards him, but Slug pulls out a handful of slugs. He introduces himself and throws the slugs, splatting Donatello in the face with one. Though Leonardo tries to warn him about the ooze, Slug just laughs and turns to walk away. Unfortunately, he trips over the bag of laundry and falls. The canisters break around him, covering him entirely in ooze.
The man immediately begins to transform and is quickly turned into a gigantic, talking slug. Leo looks around at his brothers and says that he did try to warn the guy. Furious, Slug yells that he’s going to get them for this.
Taking up a defensive stance, the Turtles ready for an attack. But after half an hour, Slug hasn’t advanced more than a couple of feet and Raph has actually dozed off waiting. The guys leave, though Slug yells at them to come back and fight. On their way out, Mikey begins bouncing name ideas off his brothers, including “Slugzoid” and “The Sluginator”. Donatello tells him that the guy’s name was Slug, he’s turned into a slug, so they should just call him Slug. Mikey replies that his brother just doesn’t understand science.
