Slimer is a character from the Ghostbusters franchise.
History[]
During the events of the Ghostbusters movie, Slimer was the first ghost captured by the Ghostbusters. He is freed when the Containment Unit is shut down by Walter Peck, along with all the other ghosts that were confined inside.
In the secondary canon of the Ghostbusters comics published by IDW, Slimer would reencounter the Ghostbusters at the beginning of the regular series, being captured by them once again.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters[]
He briefly appeared in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters comic mini-series, in which Michelangelo mistook him for a lava lamp and was frightened when Slimer lunged at him.
