[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[In the Turtle Lair, the Turtles are watching a television program. In the program, a storm rages around a mansion. Inside, several people are seated in a library. A matronly woman opens the door and enters.]
Agatha Marbles "Attention, suspects. I've solved the case of the missing guppy."
[The occupants all gasp.]
Woman "Wonder who it is."
Elderly man "Who did it? We must know."
Agatha "I'll tell you the guilty party's name right after this next commercial."
Michelangelo "I don't know if I can wait that long."
Raphael "Wow, April's Aunt Agatha has gottao be the greatest detective in the world."
Leonardo "No wonder she's got her own TV show."
Raphael "Donatello, you got a bet. I say it's the stepmother."
Leonardo "You are both wrong. It's the brother-in-law."
Michelangelo "No way, José. The butler dude dood it-- I mean, did it."
TV announcer "And now, back to “Sleuth on the Loose”."
Donatello "Here it comes, guys."
Agatha "The guilty party is. . ."
[The transmission is interrupted by static.]
Leonardo "Ah! Something happened to our TV!"
Raphael "Oh, no. Not at the crucial moment!"
[The screen clears to show April O’Neil broadcasting a news story.]
April O'Neil "We interrupt this program for a special bulletin. I'm here at the Dynamatic Science Lab, where a series of mysterious thefts have taken place, involving parts from a top-secret security project."
Donatello "Guys, this is serious."
Michelangelo "Whoa, it sure is. Now we'll never find out who swiped that guppy."
Leonardo "Turtles to the rescue!"
[They rush out of the lair. Standing in front of the science labs building, April checks her watch. She sees the Turtle Van pull up and park. The guys get out.]
April "Turtles! Am I glad you're here."
Leonardo "How'd these thefts occur, April?"
April "No one knows. Whoever did it entered a sealed room completely guarded by security cameras. And here's the weird part; there were no signs of a break-in."
Michelangelo "Whoa, dudette, that is a real head-scratcher."
Raphael "Yeah, sounds like a case for your Aunt Agatha to me."
[A man walks up to join them.]
April "This is Dr. Webb, the director of Dynamatic Labs."
Dr. Webb "I'm honored to meet you. If anyone can apprehend these culprits, it's the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
April "Guys, I've got to get back to Channel 6 and file my report. Keep me notified."
Donatello "That's why I invented the Turtlecom."
[Inside the labs, Dr. Webb opens a heavy metal door.]
Dr. Webb "This is our top security vault."
Donatello "I can't figure out how they got in. These walls are solid steel."
Raphael "Yeah, and nothing can get past this surveillance camera."
Dr. Webb "These last two remaining parts must be guarded at all costs. I can't tell you how important they are."
Donatello "How important?"
Dr. Webb "I just said, I can't tell you."
[The Turtles stand in the hallway outside the security vault.]
Leonardo "Okay, fellas. Dr. Webb is counting on us."
Raphael "Hey, anyone trying to get past us will have to deal with me! Wah, yah!"
Donatello "And me! Hee-yah!"
[Leonardo looks through a small window into the vault.]
Leonardo "Uh, fellas? Get ready for some bad news. Someone just ripped off another one of the parts!"
[The Turtles meet with Dr. Webb in his office.]
Dr. Webb "If our top security room isn't safe, there's no hope of guarding the final part."
[Leonardo holds the final part.]
Leonardo "Dr. Webb, why don't we take it back with us to our lair?"
Donatello "Leonardo's right. The thief couldn't possibly know our secret location."
Dr. Webb "All right. But remember, it mustn't fall into the thief's hands. With it, he could construct something of unspeakable horror."
[Cut to the lair.]
Leonardo "We'll take turns guarding the part."
Michelangelo "Most excellent idea, dude."
Leonardo "Michelangelo, you can take the first shift, while the rest of us scout around for clues."
Michelangelo "Most bogus idea, dude."
Donatello "Cheer up, Michelangelo. You'll have the pizza to keep you company."
Michelangelo "Yeah, the two of us could develop, like, a really meaningful relationship."
