Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids.

Skonk was the leader of terrorist organization known as the Committee to Rebuild American Patriotism ("C.R.A.P."), from the Mirage issue Survivalists.

Physical appearance[]

Skonk is a tall and muscular Afro-American man. Due to his name, it explains the white on his hair. He wears sunglasses, white shirt, camouflage pants and combat boots.

Personality[]

Skonk is a merciless, cold and insane man.

History[]

With the Cold War tensions running high but with not enough "action" for them, Skonk and his followers decided to attempt to escalate the war so that they can prove their survival skills. To this end, they kidnap physics student Michael Murphy and force him to build an atomic bomb for them. Michael escaped at some point, and ran across the Turtles, Splinter, April, and Casey having a picnic. He explained his predicament, but then was shot through the back by Skonk. Not mortally wounded but still bleeding out heavily, Michael is taken to the hospital by April and Casey while the mutants deal with C.R.A.P.

While the Turtles face Skonk's followers, Splinter comes across the leader himself. Splinter hits him with a "nerve jab" but the terrorist is still standing, leading Splinter to remark that he must be strong. He finally knock him down with a Crane strike to the side, but Skonk tosses a fistful of grass in Splinter's face to distract him and runs off.

Skonk makes it to his Jeep, where he grabs his remote control for the bomb. He climbs up onto the roof of the barn where the bomb is, crowing about how he'll be seen as a martyr for his cause, and detonates it, killing him. Thankfully, Donatello had made it to the barn first, and removed the bomb's plutonium core, downgrading its potency and rendering Skonk as its only casualty. Later, though, Don laments his death, because while he was obviously not following through with the best actions, Skonk's fear was born of the very real threat of nuclear armageddon, and in the face of such an event, he only wanted to do what anybody else would want to - survive.
