A skateboard is a type of sports equipment used primarily for the activity of skateboarding. It usually consists of a specially designed maplewood board combined with a polyurethane coating used for making smoother slides and stronger durability.
Skateboards are used by the Ninja Turtles in many incarnations through the franchise.
1987 TV series[]
Cheapskates are motorized skateboards created by Donatello and used by the Turtles in many episodes.
First Film Trilogy[]
In the first movie, the Turtles are shown using skateboards. When Donatello goes after Michelangelo - who is waiting for the pizza guy - on his skateboard, a human hand can be seen instead of a turtle hand.
2003 TV series[]
In this series, only Michelangelo is the only one using a skateboard. Donatello uses a bicycle, Raphael uses a pair of roller blades, and Leonardo uses a scooter. Donatello would later build Mike a flying skateboard made from Utrom technology.
2012 TV series[]
In the 2012 series, each Turtle has their own custom skateboard. Michelangelo is the one who uses it the most and even appears with his on the cartoon opening. Raphael's skateboard was destroyed by a mutagen explosion in "Slash and Destroy".
2014 Film[]
In the 2014 film, Michelangelo uses a motorized skateboard.

Rise of the TMNT[]
In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both Leonardo and Michelangelo have skateboards, whose toy versions are also included with their respective action figures as accessories.
Video Games[]
In the 1989 arcade game, the Ninja Turtles and Foot Soldiers ride rocket-powered skateboards at the end of scene 3. In the 2003 GBA game, Michelangelo uses a skateboard in his second act.
