Synopsis[]
Looking for adventures, Michelangelo and Casey Jones skate out of the lair. When they see a mutant gecko on a skateboard, Mikey decides he should be called Mondo Gecko. The trio meet up and introduce themselves to each other, with Mondo explaining his origin.
The three skaters roll over rooftops and soon encounter Purple Dragon thieves. Casey and Mikey jump into battle but Mondo gets kicked off the roof. Swinging down with his kusarigama, Mikey catches Mondo and tells him that friends don’t let friends get kicked off of buildings.
Back on the rooftop, Mikey ties up the thieves and Mondo finds a wad of cash. Casey tells him to put it back but Mondo refuses. Casey then says he doesn’t hang with criminals and he leaves. Mondo invites Mikey to his place and leads him down into the sewers. Mondo explains that he lives with Mr. X, who gave him a home and a job.
They enter an even darker section of the tunnel and suddenly a cage drops down to trap Mikey. Mr. X arrives and it is none other than Fishface! Mondo asks him if he’s sure the Turtles are bad, but Fishface says to stop feeling sympathy for him. Fishface tosses Mikey into a cell with Casey, who has also been captured.
Later that night, Mondo sneaks back to the cell and apologizes. He uses a key to release the captives, but Fishface catches him in the act. Fishface tells them they are all going to participate in the race and only one will survive. He says that he will also be competing.
When the starter gun goes off, Fishface blasts past the other three contestants. He is using rocket skates and Casey cries out that is no fair. Ahead of them, Fishface pulls a lever which opens the top on an aquarium full of piranhas. The trio of friends clear the piranhas, but then come across another trap – a huge puddle of slippery oil.
Just when Mondo thinks Fishface will win, Mikey grabs hold of Mondo’s hand and flings him forward. Mondo sails over Fishface, knocking him down with his skateboard. Deploying his booster rockets, Fishface zooms back into the lead. Casey draws his hockey stick and gives Mondo a mighty whack. He catches up to Fishface and Mikey and then extends his tongue across the finish line.
Fishface protests that he cheated, but Mondo says they didn’t, that they looked out for each other. Just then, the Shellraiser crashes through the wall. The other Turtles tracked Mikey and Casey to Fishface’s hideout. They make short work of the villain. To celebrate, Mikey and Mondo hopped on their skateboards and gave the skater battle cry of “Cowabunga!”
