Siobhan is a human-born mutant pig who functions as the lead guitarist for the all-mutant band, After the Bomb. She is not the only mutant pig in the band, as the lead singer Sheena is one, as well.
Trivia[]
- Siobhan was named by Steven W. Hunt in a community brainstorming session held by Sophie Campbell on a livestream, when she realized she needed to name the rest of the band. Despite the name similarity to Sheena, it was not chosen to correlate to her, but Siobhan is just a name that Hunt really likes—it was chosen to assign to either of the remaining women in the band and was left up to Campbell to assign.
- Veronica was initially named Siobhan, as Campbell had momentarily forgotten she had already assigned the name to this character, and also really liked the name.[1]
- The name Siobhan, pronounced /ʃəˈvɔːn/ (shuh-VAWN), is from Irish Siobhán, and, like the English names Jane and Jean, is derived from Anglo-Norman Jehanne, itself originally from Latin Johanna (whence also English Joan, Joanna and Joanne), and itself borrowed from Ancient Greek Ἰωάννα (Iōánnā), itself borrowed from Classical Hebrew יוֹחָנָה (Yōḥannā), itself a feminine form of the name יוֹחָנָן (Yōḥānān), from which was ultimately borrowed other masculine names like Ewan, Ian, Ivan, Johannes, and John.
