Plot[]
The second part of the Finale begins with the Shredder finally getting down to business and must destroy the only person who defeated him: Karai.
Back with the Turtles, they wondered if the woman needed help in which they didn't know what to do just before she wakes up to see them. Splinter tells her that this is the home of Hamato Yoshi. The woman introduces herself as Hamato Karai, an ancestor from 500 years ago. Leo wonders about the weapon, until Karai reveals that she is the weapon.
She explains the entire story. Back then the Foot was once a peaceful clan ruled by Oroku Saki, Karai's father. But one day, evil attack the clan. In order to save the clan, Saki made a deal with a horrible oni who have gave him the Dark Armor. It turned him into the Shredder who led the Foot into evil and destroyed Japan. Karai led the Hamato clan to defeat him and sacrificed herself and away into the Twilight Zone.
April and Draxum then notice that the orb was leaking out because the people inside are getting crowded, and Karai promises that she will teach the Turtles an ancient art called the Hamato Ninpō.
While Karai rests, Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey spend some time with her, with them loving and caring for her even Mikey drew a picture of themselves and Karai, much to her satisfaction, she tells them that they might not were teached with Hamato Ninpō, but they are still family, much to their joy.
Splinter walks over to Karai he asks if they have a chance to defeat the Shredder. Karai says yes and she uses her Ninpō to call the several ancestors to them and tells that Ninpō in all of their family members.
Before Karai can teach them however, she suddenly realizes that Shedder found her, as the demon crashed into the lair!!!
The battle begins while turtles hold the Shredder off, as the Demon destroys Mikey's kusari-fundō and Donnie's staff. Shredder says if they want his attention then they have it!! While fixing the orb, April and Draxum are shocked of seeing the foot here. Draxum asks Splinter what happened, which the latter yells out: "We are on the siege!". Realizing this, our goat yōkai asks the girl to evacuate the orb to safety as she escapes. Todd says that they can do this. Annoyed, Splinter asks Todd to wait in the tank. Todd does so.
In the lab, Leonardo and Karai enter and Leo calls for Sheldon and orders him to protect Karai. Sheldon bravely salutes and obeys. With this, Sheldon combines with Don's techno shell, transforms into full bulky turtle. Right before Leo leaves, he embraces Karai. Both share a smile.
Leo enters portal and to his horror, the lair is engulfed in flames! Shredder attacks Leonardo and destroys his odachi sword. The ruthless demon mercilessly grabs Leonardo's head and is about to finish him off, but Raph unleashes his full giant red version of himself and attacks the Shredder as both are in the arcades. Raphael starts furiously smashing Shredder repeatedly by crushing him with arcades, right before he throws him to the kitchen.
Shredder enters the lab, where he is confronted by S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N, he attacks the Shredder, but he uses his weapons to destroy the weapons, also killing S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. Shredder tries to attack Karai or Raphael protects her and attacks the shredder. However, as it seems Shredder has enough to mess with the turtles around as he defeats Raph and destroys his tonfa, much to Raphael's dismay.
Finally having enough, Karai is about to finish him off with the deathblow, but then to her shock, she sees her father's spirit inside of the armor as he speaks:"Daughter". While being distracted, Shredder destroys her as her corpse crashes to the ground. She speaks the same phrase as Splinter's mother tell it to him earlier in the childhood days: "anata wa hitori ja nai". Leo, who still very much loves his grandmother tries to go after her and save her, but Raph grabs his brother, tells him that Hamato Clan must live on as Raph grabs all his brothers and leave.
The Turtles return to Splinter and Draxum and inform them about the death of Karai, much to Splinter's heartbreak. An explosion caused the lair the destruction, as the Shredder confronts them.
With S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N decapitated and Karai is killed, the Turtles have no choice but to evacuate with Todd while Splinter and Draxum fight the Shredder, and were defeated. Mikey screams out in despair as the second part ends.
Quotes[]
Karai: "As long as there are Hamato, there is hope."
Trivia[]
- The episode title is a pun on the phrase, "Ready or Not".
- The legible Japanese text on the Hamato Clan scroll (悪魔の鎧, "akuma no yoroi", 龍, "ryū") translates to:
- "Demon armor".
- "Dragon".
- Although the same illustration of the Shredder's banishment, the text on the Hamato Clan scroll shown in this episode differs from the text shown on Hamato Sho's Hamato Clan scroll in "E-Turtle Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". The latter's legible text (界, "kai") translates to "border; realm; bound; world; boundary" while lacking 悪魔の鎧 and 龍.
- After S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. becomes a full robot body, he is like Metalhead in the 2012 TV series. However, S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. is killed once again, the first time he was killed in "Smart Lair".
- When Saki made a deal with a powerful oni, he actually made a deal with a Krang, foreshadowing the villain of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.
- The type of bow Splinter does to Karai is likely sitting saikeirei, a bow at a 45 to 70-degree angle, one the most formal Japanese bows. Although it is sometimes considered bad Japanese etiquette to speak while bowing as Splinter does, it may be acceptable in this instance due to the apologies given.
