Kakashi Hatake reveals his Sharingan.
The Sharingan is one of the "Three Great Dōjutsu" - ninja abilities that utilize the eyes. Its name literally means "Copy Wheel Eye". Because of its powerful connection to emotions, it is often referred to as the "eye that reflects the heart".
Having lost his left eye during a battle, Kakashi Hatake is given the Sharingan by Obito Uchiha, who was dying. Because he is a non-Uchiha (not related by blood to the Uchiha Clan), the Sharingan places a greater chakra demand on Kakashi. In order to conserve his chakra, Kakashi keeps the Sharingan covered with his forehead protector.
After encountering Splinter and the Ninja Turtles while Team 7 escorts April O'Neil to Big Apple Village, the two groups mistake each other's intentions towards the reporter. They begin to fight, with Kakashi pitted against Splinter. Kakashi sees something familiar in the mutant's fighting style and Splinter senses something in his opponent.
