Trivia

  • This is the fourth 30-minute episode following "Mystic Mayhem", "Bug Busters" and "The Evil League of Mutants".
  • As the Turtles spy on Draxum at the zoo, the two humans, warthog and rhino are a nod to the classic foes of the Turtles, Bebop and Rocksteady.
    • Oddly enough, the two humans bare a resemblance to the human forms of the two mutants from both the 1987 and 2012 TV series. Both humans resemble Bebop and Rocksteady as humans, but with the same body proportions as their 2012 TV series counterparts.
  • April's ringtone is the same as the ringtones for the 2012 TV series' T-Phone.
  • It is revealed in this episode that Splinter was once Lou Jitsu.
