The Santa Maria was a sailing ship carrying Christopher Columbus and his crewmen inside across the Atlantic Ocean from Portugal to America in 1492.
Christopher Columbus, his crewmen and ships appear in the TMNT Adventures comic book story 1492 where the turtles end up travelling through time from 1992 to 1492 and Donatello is taken captive and taken inside the Santa Maria ship where he meets the Earth spirit Other.[1]
