A rust encruster is a device used by Shredder in the 1987 TV series in the "Rust Never Sleeps" episode. Originally, Krang planned to use an oxidizer rocket to blast the Technodrome from the Volcanic Asteroid to Earth, but that idea failed. Instead, Shredder used the rust encruster to rust all metals on Earth. During the confusion, Shredder and Krang planned to send the Technodrome to Earth.[1]
