This version of the Rock Soldiers (often called Stone Warriors, or Rock Warriors) are an army of sentient humanoids whose bodies, as their name implies, are composed of stone. They are under the command of Krang and therefore enemies of the Turtles.

The turtles first sighting of a Rock Soldier occurs while they are on their way to confront Krang, who resides in the Technodrome. The Technodrome, which is dilapidated and falling apart, sits in a park in the middle of Shredderville.

A boy, who turns out to be Zach is seen spray painting the words "Krang Go Home" on the side of the Technodrome. He is caught by a Rock Soldier, who tells the boy that defacing the Technodrome is a serious offense. Donatello throws his like a javelin, tripping the Rock Soldier and freeing Zach.

Upon their return to the Channel 6 building, which serves as the headquarters for Shredder, the Turtles are once more accosted by a pair of Rock Soldiers. Leonardo and Raphael are conscripted into TV show audience duty by the soldiers.

Leonardo becomes enraged by the TV show, which is called "I Love Shredder", and rips off his disguise. The Rock Soldiers, realizing they are mutants, chase after them. Vernon and Burne Thompson join the Rock Soldiers in cornering all four of the Turtles.

Before the Rock Soldiers can attack, April and Irma drop stage lights on them. When more Rock Soldiers arrive, the women drop ropes down to the Turtles so they can climb up and get away.

The Rock Soldiers are not seen again, as the entire Shredderville visit proves to have been a shared dream by all four of the Turtles.
