Summary[]

Inside the Technodrome, hidden somewhere in New York City, a group of Footbots carry two crates into the main control room under Krang’s direction. Bebop wants to know what is in the crates and Krang tells them to move in closer. Shredder stays at a safe distance, though. The Footbots open one of the crates and both Bebop and Rocksteady shriek in fear. This is the reaction that Krang was hoping for as his newest invention is revealed. It is a new and more powerful robot body. Rocksteady asks if that’s for use if his other robo-body breaks down.

Krang opens the chest panel to reveal a very large space inside and says he didn’t build it for his use. Bebop notes that it seems big enough to take one of them and Krang agrees, lifting and tossing Bebop into the robot body. Rocksteady starts laughing at Bebop’s bad luck – until Krang informs him there’s a robot body for him as well. In a short time, both mutants are shut into the robot bodies. Bebop complains that it’s hot and cramped inside.

For the first test of the robot body’s systems, Krang instructs the duo to walk. Bebop and Rocksteady manage to walk right into each other, earning a scolding from Krang, who tells them to practice until they get it right. Some hours later, Krang and Shredder lead the mutant pair to the surface. At the sight of the group, citizens run, and Shredder is glad to be rid of potential witnesses to their reptile trapping mission. Krang explains that the two mutants are going to use the lasers in their suits to seal the Turtles in the sewers. Using the lasers, they melt the metal edges manhole cover so that it is immovable. They continue on with their plan until they have dealt with all the manhole covers in New York.

Just as Shredder is bragging that he’s already forgotten what the Turtles look like, they appear. Wearing trenchcoats and fedoras, the Turtles have been topside getting takeaway pizza. They see the sealed sewer entrance and realize how lucky they were to have been out getting a snack. Shrugging off their disguises, they attack, and Krang sends the Robomutants to engage with them. The Robo-bodies make the mutant pair much stronger, as Leonardo learns when Bebop swats him aside and Rocksteady lifts Michaelangelo by his belt and throws him into Raphael. Donatello swings his at Bebop, but it breaks against the robot body.

Leo calls for a retreat and the Turtles run. As they put their disguises back on again, Mikey complains about their running out on a fight. Leo tells him they are only taking a pause to think of a plan. Don wants to know how they are going to unseal the sewers and Leo says that’s important because Splinter is trapped down there. As the other Turtles bang on the manhole cover and shout for Splinter, Leo says they sure need their master’s advice. He suddenly has an idea and takes a seat on the ground, telling his brothers that he’s going to mind-link with Splinter. Everyone falls silent as Leo goes into a deep meditative state and reaches out to Splinter, who hears him. Splinter responds by asking what is happening and Leo quickly explains, saying that the robomutants are unbeatable. Splinter says that no one is unbeatable and suggest Leo contact April O'Neil. He then lines out a plan. Moments later, Leo stands and tells his brothers they have to find April.

At the secret hideout of the Technodrome, which is a salvage yard, Bebop and Rocksteady blast junk cars as they continue laser firing tests. Unknown to the villains, April has located their secret base and is using her mini-camera to film their devious deeds. She is suddenly spotted by Shredder and begins running as Krang sends the two mutants after her. As she runs, she calls back a taunt asking if they can’t go any faster. They pair run past a metal stand and the Turtles leap down on top of them, knocking both robomutants to the ground. Krang yells for Shredder to help them, but April points her camera at the pair and says to stay back unless they want to be on TV.

Back on their feet, the robomutants open fire on the Turtles, who leap and dodge. Don calls them robosnails, which infuriates Rocksteady. He charges at Don, who sidesteps and then uses his staff to trip the robomutant. Bebop is chasing Leo, who leads him past a stack of cars which Mikey and Raph shove over, crushing the robot body. The Turtles pull Bebop out of the remains and then April tells them that Krang and Shredder fled back inside the Technodrome. Leo is pleased, saying that Splinter’s geek-beat plan is working. The last stage involves the robot body that Don is sitting on. Don has Rocksteady pinned to the ground, one arm twisted up behind his back.

Rocksteady gives up and climbs out of the robot body. Leo tells the pair of mutant henchmen to clear off and join Krang or else. The Turtles then carry their ‘souvenir’, the robot body, out of the yard. April soon learns the rest of the plan as Donatello climbs into the suit and uses the lasers to blast the manhole cover. With the entry to the sewer open, April and each Turtle volunteers to go down to find Splinter.

It isn’t necessary though, as Splinter pops up through the opening. He tells them he tuned into Leonardo’s thoughts in order to find them. Splinter then turns to Donatello and asks about his new disguise. Don says it’s a robo-body armed with a laser and then asks if it isn’t really cool. Splinter does not agree and states that a true ninja needs no such assistance. A little disappointed, Don says he’s right and steps out of the robot body. All four Turtles then get to work destroying the remaining robot body, after which Mikey suggests they all get some pizza.
