Plot[]

A civilian traverses New York City at night using his smartphone's GPS and flees from the sight of mutant silverfish.

Back at the Lair, the Turtles adore their new mystic weapons they retrieved from the Hidden City: Michelangelo's new kusari-fundō, Leonardo's new Mystic Ōdachi, and Raphael's new tonfā while Donatello is already equipped with the Tech-Bō he constructed for himself. Mikey suggests that he and his brothers wield their new weapons to learn how to use them, to which Leo and Donnie enthusiastically agree. However, Raph opposes the idea and demands they only wield them in "dire" circumstances. April O'Neil then enters the lair atrium recalling her encounter with an Oozesquito at work as the Turtles continue to admire their weapons. After being unnoticed by the Turtles, she leaves the atrium to cleanse herself from the grease spill she endured. Assuming April's sudden appearance and disappearance signifies her abduction, Mikey and Raph rally their brothers on a mission using their mystic weapons to rescue her.

Having washed herself up, April returns to the atrium to find the Turtles have left and decides to exterminate the Oozesquito she encountered earlier that day to prevent it from mutating others and sets off for the streets.

On a rooftop, Raph begins to practice using his tonfā, but their mystic energy accidentally strikes the legs of a water tower and it begins to topple. Meanwhile, April locates an Oozesquito and swings at it with a baseball bat to try to kill it. Leo tries to save Raph from being crushed beneath the falling water tower, but when he swings his ōdachi and cuts the tower open, it creates a mystic portal that Leo accidentally falls through. Both Raph and April on the street below are doused by water as a result, foiling her attempt to kill the Oozesquito. Mikey grapples Leo with his kusari-fundō, stopping him from falling onto the street. Mutant silverfish crawl onto Donnie's Tech-Bō and his attack against them only allows them to combine into a singular giant silverfish.

April continues to pursue the Oozesquito when Donnie suddenly is launched by the silverfish into a window in front of her, smashing the Oozesquito. Raph, Mikey, and Leo battle the giant silverfish, forcing it to divide. The final remaining silverfish is hit by April into Leo's portal and Donnie reunites her with the rest of his brothers, both April and Turtles' missions completed.

Errors[]

  • On multiple pages of this issue, April's lower lip is either missing its color or is colored black.
  • In a panel on page nine, Splinter is missing the half of his hair that isn't tied into a bun.
  • On pages 9 and 10, the sides of Raph's carapace are inaccurately colored the same dark green as the back of his carapace instead of a darker shade of his plastron.
  • In a panel on page 22, April's jacket is missing its '5' print on its back.
