Richard "Dick" Grayson is the young ward and sidekick of Batman known as Robin. Later, he would take the name Nightwing.

History[]

The Clown and The Clan[]

After the Batcomputer alerts him to a spike of strange energy in the previous issue, Batman waits atop a Gotham City building for Robin to arrive. When he does, he has Batgirl in tow because the pair were on a team-up when Alfred called. Batman explains to the pair that these strange portals are how the Joker and others escaped the Arkham Asylum. All three enter a portal and end up in New York City’s Central Park, just as the Turtles and April O'Neil are investigating the same portal. The two teams, each thinking the other is an enemy, begin to fight. They soon figure out they are on the same side and turn to face the true menace – Poison Ivy and Snakeweed.

Greener on the Other Side[]

After figuring out that Poison Ivy is controlling Snakeweed, her power making him all but invincible, Batman instructs Robin to take the fight to her. Raphael goes with Robin and they chase down Poison Ivy, who turns to place obstacles in their way. They find her waiting for them after they get past the briar patch she's set up. She ensnares them in vines, but Robin starts talking about how he's always killed the plants in his dorm room because he overwatered them. He tips Raph a wink and then launces a batarang towards the Turtle, cutting him free. Raph tackles Poison Ivy into the lake, holding her underwater until she falls unconscious. The group returns to the lair, where Robin tries to learn everyone's name. A news report alerts the group to strange events occurring in two areas of the city, so Batman says he'll take Leonardo and Raph with him, while Robin accompanies the other group.

To Laugh so not to Cry[]

In Chinatown, a fight ensues atop a building where two portals have appeared. A contingent of Footbot Soldiers with wildly painted faces, like those helping Harley Quinn, are attacking Donatello, Michelangelo, April, Robin and Batgirl. When Robin says this isn’t good, Mikey comments that he kind of likes the new look. One of the Footbots runs for the roof’s edge and Robin says to let that one get away so they can follow it. He’s too late though because Mikey has already sliced the Footbot in two with his kusarigama. When Robin starts to complain, Mikey tells him they’ve known where Shredder’s hideout is for years. Robin thinks this is the weirdest dimension ever. He and Batgirl realize that they can’t take on Joker and the Shredder alone. Robin says he’ll make the call, which he does. While Batman, Leo and Raph go to join the fight in Shredder's throne room, Robin and Mikey stay behind to watch the open portals.

Through the Looking Glass[]

After having defeated the Joker and Harley Quinn, the group returns to the Shellraiser. Batman communicates with Robin, who is still waiting on a rooftop with Michelangelo. Batman tells Robin that he and Mikey need to go through the portals now. Robin glances over at Mikey who has made himself a bat costume out of garbage and asks if Batman is sure. Batman tells him to find where the Hatter is and shut him down. They will meet as soon as he opens his final portal. An excited Mikey asks if they get to go to that Batcave place and Robin answers in the affirmative. Mikey then asks if it would be weird if he let out a super happy scream. Robin says yes as they prepare to enter the portals and Mikey says he's going to happy scream anyway. He does so as they step through the portals, the last part of his “cowabun-“ being cut off as the portals vanish. Robin and Mikey foil a bank robbery by two villians who have worked for the Mad Hatter and learn from them where he's hiding out. They travel to the condemned Gotham Tea Room and confront the Mad Hatter.

Epilogue: The Terror of the Kraang[]

When The Kraang invade Gotham City, it's all hands-on deck. An older Richard Grayson, now known as Nightwing, arrives to lend a hand.
