Richard Epcar (born April 29, 1955 in Denver, Colorado; 65 years old) is an American voice actor, director and writer, who is the founder and owner of Epcar Entertainment, Inc.

He is best known voicing around 600 characters in anime and video gaming related properties such as Batou in Ghost in the Shell, Daisuke Jigen in the Lupin III franchise, the eponymous hero of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and Terra-Xehanort in the Kingdom Hearts series, Inspector Lunge in Monster, Myotismon and Etemon in Digimon: Digital Monsters, Zangetsu and Koga in Bleach, Raiden in Mortal Kombat, Akuma in Street Fighter V, the elder Joesph Joestar in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Barbarax in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy and both Ben Dixon and Lunk from Robotech.

He reprised both Raiden and the Joker in Injustice 2.


  • Epcar provided the voice of Shellshock in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episode, The Trouble with Shellshock where the aforementioned character comments himself that "Wait'll those teenage mutants see what a full-grown turtle can do!", upon his growth.
