[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Open on a closeup of a fly sitting on the television control switch in the Turtle Lair. Donatello switches on the television. Vernon Fenwick is interviewing a science professor.]
Professor "Here we have the Apis mellifera, or the common honey bee."
Vernon Fenwick "It doesn't look like any sort of a honey bee to me."
Professor "Oh, no, Mr. Fenwick. This is merely the genetic essence of the honey bee. I have refined the genetic essences of numerous insects. Centipedes, scorpions, various arachnids."
Vernon "What would anyone do with the genes of such, ugh, disgusting creatures?"
Professor "With these essences, we can create insects which are genetically engineered for specific purposes."
Vernon "And what would happen, professor, if these essences fell into the wrong hands?"
Professor "I think that's highly unlikely."
Vernon "Oh, really? I notice you only have one security guard here at your lab at 50 West 57th Street, where you keep these dangerous genetic substances stored in an unlocked cabinet, right here in room 201."
Professor "See here, you shouldn't be—"
[He grabs Vernon by his suspenders and starts choking him.]
Vernon "This is Vernon Fenwick. Back to the studio."
Donatello "Oh, I don't believe it."
Raphael "Oh, man. That idiot just invited every wacko in town to come after that stuff."
Leonardo "Guys, we'd better stake out that building."
Michelangelo "That sounds like a lot of trouble, dude."
Leonardo "Better a little trouble now than a lot of trouble later, Michelangelo."
Donatello "Yeah. Shredder and Krang could have monitored that broadcast. They're probably scheming to steal that stuff right now."
[Cut to the Technodrome beneath the ocean. Krang is attempting to effect repairs.]
Krang "Ugh! Cheap Earth junk. I should have stolen my spare parts from Dimension X. But I'll never get to Dimension X if I can't get this blasted portal working again."
Shredder "At last.
I found it. That's it. That's a neutronium crystal. After months of searching, I've finally found the element I need to get my retro-mutagen ray working again. At last, I can destroy those accursed Turtles, once and for all by turning them back into ordinary household pets."
[He is peering through a window at Bebop and Rocksteady, who are in diving gear. They have been digging for a crystal and place it in a container.]

[Outside of the Genetic Research building, the security guard stands watch, whistling to himself. The Turtles keep watch from across the street.]
Michelangelo "Dudes. This is mondo boring."
Leonardo "Imagine what would happen if some mad scientist got his hands on those insect genes, Michelangelo."
Donatello "We could have a million Baxter Stockmans running around the streets."
Raphael "Nah. That wacko fly won't bother us. Thanks to Krang, he's stuck in some kind of dimensional limbo."
Donatello "I have a feeling Krang and Shredder are plotting to get those genetic essences, so they can create a new batch of mutants."
[Back at the Technodrome…]
Rocksteady "Gee, boss. Why do you wanna fix that gizmo that undoes mutation? Wouldn't you rather be making some new mutants, like us?"
Shredder "I've had enough of mutants. Especially those Turtles.
When my retro-mutagen ray is repowered, I'll get rid of them in a single stroke."
[He places the crystal into the ray gun.]

[Elsewhere, Krang completes his repairs.]
Krang "There. Let's see if it works now.
Uh-oh. That's not Dimension X. It looks like the place we got rid of-- Baxter Stockman."
[He presses a button.]
Uh-oh. That's not Dimension X. It looks like the place we got rid of-- Baxter Stockman."
[Stockman flies through the portal and into the Technodrome.]
Baxter Stockman "I did it. I'm free."
[He is holding the motherboard to the Pandimensional spacecraft computer, also known as “Z”.]
Z "Oh, Baxter. You're so clever."
Krang "Stop that fly!"
[Stockman knocks down one of the Foot Soldiers and lifts another into the air.]
Stockman "Stupid robot. Flies hate robots.
Now to get even with you and Shredder for turning me into a fly."
[He drops the robot on top of the other one. Then he tackles Krang.]
Now to get even with you and Shredder for turning me into a fly."
[Shredder finishes his work on the ray gun.]
Shredder "There. The retro-mutagen ray is functional once more."
Krang "Shredder, hurry. I need you."
[Shredder, Bebop, and Stockman rush into the control room as Stockman lifts Krang into the air.]
Shredder "Baxter Stockman!"
[Stockman tosses Krang down in front of Shredder, who directs Bebop and Rocksteady at the mutant fly. Stockman manages to knock them both over. Then Stockman dives at Shredder.]
Shredder "I'll crush you like the worthless insect you are.
Argh!"
[Stockman lifts him up and throws him against a wall.]
Argh!"
Z "Baxter, if you get me to the main computer room, I can help you.
Plug me into that compu-slot."
[Baxter flies over to a large control panel.]
Plug me into that compu-slot."
[Baxter does this as Shredder and his two mutant henchmen enter the room.]
Shredder "All right, you miserable bug. Prepare to be squashed."
[Z’s image appears on all the viewing screens.]
Z "Oh, no you don't. I control the Technodrome now. Baxter is my best friend and you are going to leave him alone."
