Summary[]

Open inside the Technodrome, which is located somewhere under New York City. As Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady approach Krang, he begins yelling at them for failing in every mission he sends them on. Their attempts to defeat the Turtles is what he terms a joke, so he is now forced to call in help from Dimension X. The Technodrome’s viewing screen displays hundreds of soldiers, most on foot, but some in flying jeeps. Krang presents them as the ultra-powerful Stone Warriors. Shredder finds it laughable, claiming it would take hours for them to come through the portal, because they only have enough power to keep the gateway open for a few seconds.

Krang admits that is true, but adds that in a few seconds, many Stone Warriors can transport to Earth. To prove this fact, armed Stone Warriors begin flooding through the open portal and barrel right over Bebop and Rocksteady. Soon a large number of soldiers, some in flying jeeps, are inside the Technodrome. They greet ‘Lord Krang’, who welcomes them and instructs them to follow him. Shredder whispers to Bebop that they will go along to watch Krang’s plan go wrong.

The first human they encounter outside the Technodrome is a homeless man. He calls them freaks, which causes Krang to order his soldiers to teach the man a lesson. They begin firing their weapons at his feet and the man runs. Moving out into the city, the Stone Warriors attack from the ground and air, destroying buildings and sending people fleeing from the city. A police officer attempts to confront the troops, but several shoot at him and he decides he’s had enough.

Soon the Stone Warriors report to Krang that the citizens have all fled and the city is theirs. Krang asks for the location of Shredder and his mutants and a Stone Warrior points to them near an ice cream store, where Bebop and Rocksteady are indulging in ice cream cones. Krang orders the warrior to open fire and teach them not to stuff themselves. The Stone Warrior shoots the chairs out from under the two mutants and Rocksteady shouts that it wasn’t a very nice thing to do. Krang replies that he’s not a nice brain. Shredder has a question about why the Turtles haven’t appeared. Krang explains that he has all the TV and radio signals in the city jammed.

In their sewer lair, Michaelangelo is fiddling with the TV, but getting nothing. Donatello has no luck with the radio either. Splinter fears that news of the outside world may have been cut off purposely, so the Turtles head out to check topside. As they approach a manhole, Raphael wonders if Krang and Shredder are behind this, and Leonardo says they need to look city side to find out. He climbs the ladder, but as he starts to exit through the manhole, a Stone Warrior opens fire from a hiding spot behind a garbage can.

Leo ducks back into the sewers and reports what happened. He then leads the way to another exit, but it happens again… and again… and again. All of their escape routes are blocked, trapping the Turtles below ground. Mikey’s stomach starts to rumble and he states the obvious; that they have no pizza either. Up top, Krang is gloating over having contained the Turtles. He is certain that lack of pizza will make them surrender. Days pass, and the Turtles sprawl around the lair, unable to move due to their hunger. Master Splinter finally decides to find a way to break out of the sewers and find food, even if it costs him his life.

Meanwhile, in the Technodrome, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady sit around a table in the Technodrome and complain about the Stone Warriors. Bebop is certain Krang means to send them to Dimension X because they are no longer needed and Rocksteady responds that the Turtles would make short work of the Stone Warriors. Shredder suddenly stands up and announces that they need to start pizza-making immediately.

Soon the kitchen in the Technodrome is a complete disaster area, but the trio has managed to make several pizzas. After boxing them up, Shredder leads the two mutants to a secret passageway. They walk for a bit and then come to a door, which Shredder opens. Bebop and Rocksteady are hesitant to go through, as they see something moving, but Shredder tells them it’s just harmless rats.

However, when they enter the tunnel beyond the door, Splinter springs from the darkness and kicks Shredder into the tunnel water, knocking him out. Splinter then turns to discover that Bebop and Rocksteady are carrying numerous boxes of pizza. He demands to know if this is a trick, but Bebop says they brought the food for the Turtles. Splinter tells them to leave and they do so, dragging the still unconscious Shredder behind them. After they are gone, Splinter investigates the boxes and finds that they do indeed contain real pizzas. He pushes aside his curiosity over Shredder’s motives in order to save his sons.

The Turtles are soon chowing down on pizza and getting their strength back. Leo says that Krang and his Stone Warriors had better watch out. Shortly, a Stone Warrior, who is standing guard at a manhole, hears the Turtles say that it’s time to bust out. He uses his walkie-talkie to inform Krang, who arrives with a contingent of Stone Warriors. Krang orders the Stone Warriors to be ready and then they hear one of the Turtles say that they will all leap out of the manhole. Krang shouts for the Stone Warriors to blast the Turtles out of existence.

The Stone Warriors open fire straight down into the manhole. When they stop shooting, Krang looks down, sees a tape recorder, and realizes they’ve been tricked. The Turtles attack from behind in an ambush and begin battling the Stone Warriors as Krang cowers behind his troops. In their flying jeeps, Stone Warriors begin an aerial attack. Donatello throws his bō like a javelin and hits the engine of one of the jeeps. It explodes and crashes into another one, destroying it as well.

With the air support gone, the Turtles are able to continue their fight against the ground troops. They soon overcome all of them, and then the fallen Stone Warriors begin to fade away. Leo says that Krang is transporting them back to Dimension X. Back in the Technodrome, Shredder has told Krang that Bebop and Rocksteady were responsible for supplying pizza to the Turtles. Believing him, Krang has sent the two mutants to Dimension X, who appear on the view screen begging to be brought back to Earth. Instead, Krang sics the Stone Warriors on them. While Krang is laughing, Shredder turns to the reader and says that none of the readers had better tell Krang the truth – or Shredder just might get annoyed.
