Rasputin the Mad Frog is one of a quartet of mutant frogs created and trained by The Shredder, called the Punk Frogs, who supposed to serve as an antithesis of the Ninja Turtles. Upon realizing that Shredder was evil, however, the Frogs defected and befriended the Turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Madness[]
This version of Rasputin first appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Madness. He was a playable character, wielding his signature bow and arrow.
In the game's story, the Punk Frogs attend a concert performed by Raphael and his band. During the show, Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady attempt to kidnap the Frogs, getting away with Napoleon and Genghis, making it the task of the Turtles. Rasputin, and Attila to chase down the villains and recover them.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge[]
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, the Punk Frogs enjoy some level of celebrity status - merchandise and signage using their likeness is seen across the game. The Frogs are also captured and must be recovered, after which the player can collect "disgusting bugs" to give to them in exchange for points. The Frogs also ride by in a roller coaster during the fight against Leatherhead on Coney Island, occasionally tossing a pizza or explosive barrel to help their buddies.
After the Turtles, April, Splinter, and Casey foil Shredder and Krang's plans, they tune in to Vernon's Views on TV, where Vernon proclaims that the Punk Frogs saved the city.
