Raphael is one of the four mutated turtles raised and trained by ninja master Splinter. Raphael or "Raph" as he is also known, is a master of the sai.
Along with the other three Turtles, Splinter, and an array of known characters as well as new characters, Raphael appears in the Titan published magazine called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic, which, among other stories, had its own mini-continuity comics based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward.
Physical appearance[]
Raphael has the same general appearance as Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo, although he has a red headband and red accents on his weapons. In the future of 2105, there is also a slight height difference between the four.
Personality[]
Raphael is the strongest and most impulsive of the four turtles. He is a tough-talking, street smart, no-nonsense Turtle with an attitude. Raphael tends to be sarcastic and a bit grumpy, especially towards Mikey, who takes special joy in annoying his brother.
Biography[]
First appearing in Extreme Measures, Raphael along with his brothers and Cody Jones attend the Hoverboard Championship. Raphael isn't impressed by the competing hoverboarder's skills, claiming that given an old-fashioned board with wheels, he could show them some real skills. When a shape-shifting alien transforms himself into Zemo and kidnaps Cody, Mikey and Raph use hoverboards to chase him down and save the boy. Afterwards, Karbon "Zip" Zemo, the reigning hoverboard champion, presents him with a trophy and says that Raph is the new Galactic X-Treme Hoverboard Champion.
