Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids.

In the IDW continuity, Rahzar is an infant[2] mutant grey wolf first appearing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #111. Old Hob had Rahzar and another mutant, Tokka, detained in a holding cell at Mutanimals Headquarters in Mutant Town. After Koya had previously failed to secure delivery of the three weasels Hob had originally promised to give the Foot Clan as new recruits, Oroku Karai visited Hob at Mutanimals HQ herself to negotiate an alternative arrangement. When Karai saw Rahzar and Tokka, she immediately wanted them as her new recruits.

Both were placed in a wooden box and loaded onto a helicopter. However, both were too turbulent, the two mutants managed to break it and crash the vehicle into Mutant Town. Karai barely had time to get out of the helicopter with Koya's help. But his leg was trapped by Tokka and he also fell among the debris of the plane. However, instead of showing senseless ferocity when they were free, Rahzar and Tokka began to look for Karai, whom they both considered their "Mom", without realizing it. that she was among the rubble. Lita from the future witnessed the accident when she arrived in New York and asked the turtles to help her save Karai. They had to reconcile with the young woman to avoid a chaotic future from which Lita came.TMNT #113

When he woke up, Bludgeon, who was also saved from the rubble of helicopter, revealed the existence of these two to the turtles and asked them to find them as quickly as possible. However, Bebop and Rocksteady were also on their trail. Lita knew these mutants, much bigger and stronger than when they were babiesand in her future they were the turtles' most dangerous enemies. When they found them looking for Karai in the rubble, they approached and Michelangelo tried to convince them with a donut, but Rafael's abrupt reaction, by not letting the wolf remove the bandage that he had mistaken for Karai's scarf, made Razhar began to cry, which angered Tokka and, consequently, Razhar as well, who attacked them TMNT #114

After chasing the Turtles, they both encountered Bebop and Rocksteady who attacked them while Razhar and Tokka thought it was a game but they gave him a peace that made more mutants cry, which made them more aggressive and violent. So in In an attempt to calm them down, the turtles used Donatello's phone, who through a video call asked Karai to calm them down. Karai managed to calm both mutants down and they went to see their mother who was in a bed in the Mutant Town infirmary, breaking a little the window to Leonardo's chagrin.TMNT #115

However, Micheangelo and Leonardo refused to let Razhar and Tokka go with Karai to the Foot Clan, because they did not want the two to become murderers when they were just children, so after discussing with Karai what to do, Big Lita suggested taking them to the future, Karai said goodbye to them, giving her scarf to Rahzar, although both mutants were sad about having to separate from their “Mama”, Lita promised they could always visit them again, so that both accompanied by Lita left through a time portal towards Lita's new alternative future.TMNT #117

Trivia[]

  • This is the first version of Rahzar to have never been an antagonist. He is not deployed as an antagonist's combatant, and whatever destruction he causes is purely in the context of a confused and frightened (if oversized) infant.
