Summary[]
A movie theater is showing “Four Fingers of Reinforced Concrete”, the title of the latest film by Chung Lun Kwo, the martial arts champion nicknamed the “Golden Dragon”. The packed theater includes the Turtles, who are cheering and talking during the fight scenes, much to the dismay of other patrons. Raffaello tells his brothers that the Dragon will be in town in a few days and they must meet him at any cost. Unknown to them, Bebop and Rocksteady are also in the theater and have overheard their conversation, albeit incorrectly. The pair exit the theater quickly to share the information with Shredder.
After returning to the Tecnodromo, the pair report to Shredder, who finds very interesting the information that the Turtles are Chung Lun Kwo’s enemies. Rocksteady wonders why they don’t like him. Shredder explains that there is no love lost between Chinese and Japanese fighting schools on different philosophies. Shredder decides to exploit this rivalry.
A few days later, on the set of “A Dragon in New York”, the movie director calls for a break. Chung Lun Kwo says that if anyone is looking for him, he’ll be in his caravan. He enters the vehicle, intent on using the break to perform his daily mediation. As soon as he is inside, though, Shredder announces that he’d better listen to what he has to tell him. Chung spins around, ready for a fight, but Shredder urges him to calm down. He introduces himself and says that he comes in peace. Shredder explains that they have common enemies and asks that Chung sit down so he can tell him about them.
After a brief explanation, Shredder finishes the tale by saying that the enemies want to ambush Chung, four against one. Chung immediately declares that he does not fear them and that the Golden Dragon is invincible. Shredder says that he is sure of it, but with his help, he will remain so. An array of weapons lay on a table in the caravan and Shredder tells Chung that he has brought Dimension X weapons for his use.
As a fog rolls over the city, Chung steps out into the street, weapons in hand. He calls for the ninja to come out and that hiding won’t gain them anything, calling them pizza-eating cowards. In the tunnels, the Turtles hear him, and Michelangelo says that they are wanted. Leonardo says that from the tone, he doubts Chung wants to deliver a congratulation telegram to them. The Turtles exit the tunnels and are overwhelmed to see Chung Lun Kwo himself. Raffaello finds it to be an honor, since he didn’t expect a personal visit. Chung realizes that with them all standing there, he could destroy them in an instant with the weapons Shredder gave him.
Then Chung tosses the weapons away, stating that a true warrior does not use such devilry. His bare hands will be enough. Donatello goes to greet him, but then quickly ducks back to avoid being hit. Raffaello thinks Chung is joking, and Michelangelo guesses he wants to test them. Leonardo says if that’s the case, they mustn’t disappoint him. All four Turtles gleefully pounce on Chung and soon, Donatello and Raffaello have him subdued in a tight grip. Leonardo tells him that he’s done, and now he’ll have to… give them his autograph. The Turtle holds up a notepad and pen.
The confusion is cleared up and Chung gives them the autograph. He says that they really are not his enemies, and Raffaello tells him they are his most ardent fans. Donatello adds that Chung is one of their idols and asks who could appreciate his art better than them. Michelangelo says that if he has time, they’d like to introduce him to their Master Splinter. However, Chung says that will have to be for another time. Right now, he is in a hurry to settle a score with a certain guy.
Elsewhere, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady are waiting. Rocksteady asks if this is the spot where they have the appointment. Shredder says yes, and he hopes he hurries up. He can’t wait to hear Chung tell him how he defeated those miserable reptiles. Chung suddenly calls out for him to think instead on how he will defeat him, calling Shredder a vile traitor. Attacking with the Dimension X weapons, Chung shouts that Shredder tried to get him to attack four honorable warriors who consider him to be an example. Shredder runs, calling over his shoulder that Bebop and Rocksteady are idiots who got him into this mess. Chung chases after him, yelling for Shredder to stop because he must suffer the Dragon’s vengeance. Bebop and Rocksteady have leaped into a nearby dumpster. Bebop tells his buddy to shut the lid and remember that they are not in for anyone.
