History[]

The Purple Dragons debuted in "The Purple Jacket". They are a group of high school students who are highly skilled in computer hacking, high-tech theft, coding, and other technology-related skills. They allowed Donatello to join their club, but only to steal his inventions in the night. They used his Tech-Bō and Battle Shells to steal from electronics stores so they could steal the source code from Nakamura's main server.

The Purple Dragons reappeared in "The Purple Game". After being put on house arrest for their crimes in "The Purple Jacket", they created The Purple Game to lure Donnie into playing it, unaware that he was piloting the Giant Mech in real life, inflicting havoc on New York City.

The Purple Dragons flight tested a drone created by Jason at a playground one night in "Breaking Purple". when they encountered S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. He had fled from home due to his strained relationship with Donnie. The Purple Dragons freed him of the restraining bolt he had been saddled with by Donnie and took him to have fun around the city until morning. The following night, after making S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. a Purple Dragon, they encouraged him to enter Thunder Drone's drone race to win the first prize Shadow Transmitter. When S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. lost to Donnie, the Purple Dragons ousted him from the club and tried and failed to attack Donnie with a robotic dragon. They vowed to retry tormenting Donnie once they improved their robotic dragon.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike previous incarnations of the Purple Dragons, whose members usually comprise of young adults, the members in this three man version of the group are all teenagers.
    • Additionally, this incarnation exists as a high school technology club, rather than a street gang.
  • Due to its nature as a technology club in this series, many members of the Purple Dragons seem to be heavily reliant on technology for combat rather than sheer physical strength, as seen from most other iterations of the group.
