Prototype Mousers are Mousers that appear exclusively in the 2003 video game.
Description[]
Prototype Mousers are green colored Mousers with a smoother body than their silver counterparts. The prototypes also lack eyes, though this does not hinder their ability to "see". They appear to be slightly tougher than their silver counterparts in terms of attack and defense power.
Their origin is unknown, as (aside from a single challenge mode appearance) they only appear in Stages 2 and 5; areas without direct Foot Clan presence (although Stage 5 has some areas formerly occupied by the Foot). Given their name, it is likely these were an early built Mouser robot that were discarded for the common variation for various reasons.
Prototype Mousers behave identical to their silver counterparts. They can walk and will bite up close. Up to seven can appear onscreen at one time. They may sometimes violently self-destruct.
