Barbara Gordon is taking a tour of Powers Industrial for a paper she is writing. While she is learning about their new clean running, powerful prototype generator, the lights suddenly go out. Barbara saves the life of a scientist directly in the path of a pair of shuriken and then pushes several others out of harm's way as the Foot Clan arrive en masse. Then a new arrival tosses a smoke bomb into the lab and Barbara sees the shadowy figures of four meta-humans enter the fight. When the smoke clears, Barbara finds herself alone with just the scientists and discovers that the generator has been stolen.
