Summary[]
Dressed in their usual disguises, the Turtles are out and about in New York City looking for a meal. They reach a pizza restaurant, but Leonardo stops the others from entering and they want to know why they are waiting. He explains that Master Splinter told them to learn the virtue of patience, so he thought they should make themselves wait a while before grabbing some pizza. He asks for their thoughts and as an answer, they nearly run over him to get inside. At the counter, the Turtles begin placing their pizza orders. The waitress, however, turns and tells them they had better leave.
Michaelangelo is confused until Raphael points out a trio of creeps that have just entered. Short and squat, all three men are carrying violin cases and looking very menacing. The three men step past the Turtles to go to the counter and tell the waitress that she was warned to only sell pizzas made in their factory. They tell her that because she wouldn’t listen, she’s sliced her last pepperoni. Mikey comments that it sounds like the mini-mobsters are running some kind of pizza protection racket. Raph says it’s time they stopped their bullying and gave them a dose of Turtle power.
Raph approaches one of the men and tells him to leave the lady alone so they can order their pizzas in peace. The guy shoves Raph backwards and says if he can’t stand the heat, he should get out of the pizza kitchen. An angered Raph states that the man has pushed him too far. Unfazed, the man tells his buddies that their ‘friends’ are itching to face the music. All three mini mobsters open their violin cases and pull out Tommy guns. They open fire, spraying bullets everywhere, and the Turtles dive for safety under tables. Suddenly, Mikey sings out that he’s been hit. Raph wants to know if he’s okay, and then discovers that the ‘bullets’ are actually rock-hard pizza pellets. Mikey wants to know what they’re waiting for because it’s not like the Turtles to run from the line of fire, especially when pizza is involved.
The Turtles stand up, catch the pizza pellets, and then begin chomping them. One of the mini mobsters wants to know what to do since the guys are eating their ammo. Another of them says to split and report back to the boss, because Mama Pizza will know what to do. The mini mobsters run out of the restaurant and the Turtles follow, quickly surrounding the three men. Leo tells them to stop right there, but then a large car zips around the corner and the Turtles are once more hit with dozens of pizza pellets. While they are ducking away from the sting of the pellets, the mini mobsters jump into their getaway car and drive off.
Leo says they can still catch up to the mobsters in the Party Wagon. The Turtles are soon speeding along in pursuit of the getaway Cadillac. They see it drive through the gates of a giant factory and when the Turtles reach the fence, they see a sign which reads “Mama Pizza’s Pizza Palace”. Leo tells his team that they are going to sneak inside because it’s time to close the pizza box on the gangsters. Once they are inside the factory, they stand on a balcony overlooking a huge pizza making operation. Huge containers are filled with pizza mix and toppings, while conveyor belts carry pizzas along a line that feeds through the entire factory. The Turtles practically drool over what they see, but Leo reminds his brothers that they are here on a crime-busting mission. As the Turtles prepare to leap down on the mini mobsters, two sets of gigantic hands reach out of the darkness and yank them backwards.
The Turtles find themselves in the clutches of giant gangsters, men so large they can wrap their hand around the Turtles’ bodies. Carrying the Turtles, the giants march through the factory. They tell the green team that they are being taken to meet their boss, Mama Pizza, the godmother herself. Mikey asks if their godmother is as ugly as they are, and the gangster carrying him says no – she’s even uglier.
The Turtles are brought before Mama Pizza, an enormous woman in a pin striped suit. She tells them that she’s the brains of the pizza protection racket and asks who they are. Leo snaps that they are Turtles; lean, green and proud of it. Mama Pizza is delighted because she’s always wanted to make a turtle pizza. Soon, the Turtles are trapped in concrete cocoons and dangling above a vat filled with Mama Pizza’s famous top secret recipe pizza mix. She says she’s sure it will taste even better with extra green ingredients. She tells her boys to lower them in.
Don proclaims that this is one pizza experience he doesn’t want to be a part of and Raph says that he’s unable to move. Leo realizes that the shells they are in are so heavy, that once they are dropped into the vat, they will get dragged down to the bottom. Mikey tells them not to worry because he’s got a idea. He asks Mama Pizza if her recipe is top secret and she’s answers that of course it is, that’s why she’s the most successful godmother of all time. She adds that nobody can guess what’s in her pizza mix. Mikey then says that he can, which she snorts is impossible. Mikey begins sniffing the aroma wafting up from the vat and then rattles off a list of nine ingredients. He then asks if he’s right.
A stunned Mama Pizza says her secret recipe’s been discovered and that she’s ruined. She bellows her frustration at the top of her lungs, and the Turtles’ concrete cocoons immediately shatter. The Turtles swing away from the vat and Don swiftly attacks the mini mobsters with his bō. The mini mobsters continue firing pizza bullets at the guys and Leo says that two can play that game. He tells his brothers to grab handfuls of the ammo and then following his example, the Turtles fling the pizza bullets back at the mini mobsters. Raph is delighted that they have mopped the floor with the minis, but Leo looks back over his shoulder and warns that it’s not over yet – they have company.
Mama Pizza stares down at the Turtles with her giant gangsters behind her. They crack their knuckles and Mama Pizza say that she and her big boys have got enough muscle to make turtle meat of them. Leo says for her to dream on and tells the other Turtles that they know what to do. Leaping onto their hands, all four Turtles donkey kick backwards, sending the three large villains flying right into a vat of pizza mix. Having stopped the gangsters, the guys decide to reward themselves by eating up all their pizza.
