When Shredder decides to starve the Turtles by making the city a pizza-free zone, his first stop is Pizza World. Shredder, along with Bebop and Rocksteady who are both armed, approach the counter. When the stammering owner asks if they want takeaway or eat in, Shredder says to give him every pizza he can make and do it fast. Soon, Footbots are marching out of Pizza World with stacks of boxes containing pizza. The owner says they’ve been cleaned out, and Shredder orders him not to make any more or he’ll set Bebop and Rocksteady on him. To prove his point, both of the mutants open fire on the glass windows behind the counter and the owner agrees that they are closed permanently.
Later, Leonardo returns to the lair without the pizzas the Turtles ordered three hours earlier. Raphael wants to know what happened and Michaelangelo says he’s starved for that deep pan with chocolate sauce, mustard and marshmallow. Leo tells them he has bad news. He just phoned Pizza World and they told him they’ve closed down. Leo adds that Pizza World is not alone… half the pizza joints in town have shut as well.
