Pilot Dude is a good Samaritan who offers to help the Turtles in the TMNT comic strip The Voyage Home. He wears a ball cap with the visor pulled low over his eyes and the only time his eyes show is when he's excited. He has two antennae that stick out of the ball cap and sports a thick, black mustache.

The Voyage Home[]

After the Ninja Turtles are stranded on an alien planet by Cudley, they discover a gigantic TV set and sit down to watch because they have no idea how to get back to Earth. Pilot Dude walks up to Michaelangelo and offers them a lift. Even though it takes a while to get all of the Turtles away from the television, Pilot Dude sticks around and finally gets them all to follow him back to his spaceship. Unfortunately, once they reach the spaceship, Pilot Dude announces that he can't find his keys. While the Turtles try to break into the spaceship, Pilot Dude walks off to buy some doughnuts and isn't there when Leonardo gets into trouble with an Alien Police Officer. A Robo Judge pronounces Leo not guilty and leaves just before Pilot Dude reappears. The Turtles fuss at him for wandering off, but he appeases them with doughnuts.

They finally blast off and Pilot Dude spends some time showing Donatello how to work the helm. Everything is going well until they try to activate hyperspeed, at which time they discover that all of their power is gone, thanks to the huge hair dryer that Michaelangelo is using. Pilot Dude sends out a distress beacon, but it is answered by Nasty Space Pirates who invade the spaceship. After turning over the keys to their broken-down ship, Pilot Dude and the Turtles swipe the Space Pirates' spaceship. Pilot Dude notifies what he calls the "proper authorities" to deal with the stranded Space Pirates, with the Space Pirates own mom being the proper authority.

The group is then stopped by a Galactic Police Officer. Because they can't provide with officer with registration papers for the stolen ship, Leo is thrown into jail. He manages to get out in time to be told by an alien Repo Man that he is repossessing the Pirates' spaceship because it has five late payments. When he takes off with the ship, Pilot Dude tells the Turtles that he lost two ships and can't take them home. He is going to take a shuttle home and wishes them good luck. Before he leaves, they ask if they can take a shuttle to Earth, but Pilot Dude informs them that they are on a high-brow space station that does not provide shuttles to Earth. After he bids them good-bye, they realize that he's just insulted the intelligence of their entire planet.
