Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids. |
Pepperoni is a baby protoceratops that was captured alongside Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time issue 1. He named her and gave her a mask made from his athletic wraps. When the Turtles left the Cretaceous period, Pepperoni was left behind.
She returned in TMNT: Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything! in which she wore a red scarf made from Raphael's mask. After the events of that story, she returned to the present to live with Raphael.
Pepperoni has a back-up story in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe issue 10, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Pepperoni", in which she envisions herself being mutated and joining the Turtles in their battles. Raph and Alopex look on when she wakes up and runs off with one of Raph's Sai, presumably to train for the day that will happen.
Pepperoni also appears in creator Sophie Campbell's fan comic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secrets of the Ooze.
