As Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki spar in their dojo, they discuss a new arrival who wishes to be trained by them. Yoshi argues that he has enough students, but Saki offers to train him, saying he'll learn more by teaching. Yoshi calls the newcomer strange, saying that he's always playing with yarn between his fingers, never removes his shoes when he enters a room, and Splinter doesn't like him. Saki teases him for taking advice from a rat. He then says that the Foot needs warriors like him. The newcomer moves like no one he's ever seen and lives and breathes the virtues of Bushido. Yoshi asks how he can trust a man who won't reveal where he comes from? He quickly dodges a kick aimed at his head and the newcomer informs him he's from a broken place without honor or character that deserved its suffering. Yoshi blocks a punch and the newcomer says he does have a name, one he's chosen for himself. He manages to sweep Yoshi's feet from under him and introduces himself as Sekiryou. Yoshi then stands back as Saki confronts Sekiryou and demands answers. Turtles of Grayskull issue 3
