In the alternate continuity issue Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Deviations, instead of just Leonardo, all four Ninja Turtles were bewitched by Kitsune and Shredder into joining the Foot Clan.
Working together, Splinter and Old Hob devise a trap for the Turtles and Oroku Saki. Hob is captured and "leaks" the whereabouts of Splinter to them, and says he has to take them to him. Splinter puts up a good fight for show, but ultimately lets himself be taken in.
Returning to Foot headquarters, the Turtles drag Splinter in front of Shredder. Rather than allowing them to kill him right away, Shredder wants Splinter to remain alive for long enough to see his sons marching at the forefront of the Foot Clan rise to power.
Behind the scenes, other forces are at play, forces aligning to defeat the Shredder. Ignorant of these plots, Shredder orders the Turtles to report. Leonardo tells him that the Savate have been defeated. Raphael reports that the Ghosts Boys are ghosts too. Michelangelo states that he wiped up the floor with Lupo and the other wise guys, while Donatello says that he took care of a new gang outfit called the Street Phantoms.
Rising from his throne, a pleased Shredder says that since it appears that the Foot Clan has control of the city, there is only one order of business left before their reign begins.
As Shredder prepares to execute Splinter, a wall is suddenly blown open. Hob arrives with heavy artillery and Slash in tow. Splinter ends up battling Kitsune on the astral plane, while Arnold Jones and his Purple Dragons also show up to get revenge for Casey's death. Karai and Alopex betray Shredder and are killed by him. The Turtles fight Slash and Hob, with Raphael killing the latter by throwing a sai into his chest. On the astral plane, Splinter beats Kitsune and undoes her magic, but at the cost of his own life. Jones kills Shredder with a shotgun blast to the face, and the Turtles finally snap out of their brainwashing in time to watch their father die.
