Original Jay is a character introduced in the episode "The Freaks Come Out at Night" from the 2003 TV series.
Jay is the owner and operator of Original Famous Jays hot dog emporium. According to Raphael "These dogs taste just like the Jays from our time." Donatello explains that is because this Jay was cloned from the original Jay.
Original Jay is a rotund and slightly crotchety man. When the Kanabo infected pigeon lands on his display case, Jay goes after it with a broom. Despite the tendency to be ill-tempered, Jay's hot dogs are popular and his hot dog stand is filled with customers.
