Plot[]

April O'Neil, Donatello, and Leonardo are at Run of the Mill Pizza, and are served a pizza that has wiggling, one-eyed, talking creatures all over it. April is disgusted by the "Super Creepy Supreme" and asks for a more conventional topping. The Turtles eat their pizza, and comment that nothing April does or sees is normal. This is backed up when one of the restaurant's waiters, a slime Yōkai named Exploding Frankie, explodes to entertain a Yōkai child for their birthday party. Everyone is covered in slime and laughs, except April, who just cleans herself up and leaves for school.

At science class, April arrives late to choose a partner for the lecture. The teacher pairs her up with the only other remaining student: a new girl named Sunita. Sunita cheerfully introduces herself, but notices some slime on April's shoulder. April frantically gets rid of the slime, and tries to play off the situation, complimenting Sunita's boots. The two of them exchange phone numbers so they can get better acquainted.

Later, April is walking home, and as she passes an alley, she is flagged down by Leo and Donnie. They ask her to join them in pulling a prank on their father, but April declines, saying she wants to have a normal evening with her new friend. The turtles express doubt, calling April a magnet for the unusual. April declares that she can, and will, have a normal day with Sunita, and leaves. Donnie and Leo still have their doubts, so they decide to help April have a normal outing.

April shows Sunita around the city. From a distance, Donnie and Leo, disguised as old ladies, watch through binoculars for anything abnormal. They manage to keep Trash Wizard away from the girls without them noticing, but a bigger, slightly more unusual threat is waiting near a pretzel cart. Foot Brute and Foot Recruit are getting ready to ambush the girls. Leo quickly makes a portal with his sword and sends the Foot warriors tumbling through it. Leo then poses as the pretzel vendor, and April tries asking what Leo is doing there. Sunita asks if April knows the "cute old lady," but April denies it, and drags Sunita off to a pizza restaurant.

At the restaurant, April and Sunita order some food. April notices that Leo, Donnie, and the Foot Clan are fighting outside, and begins to fret. Sunita notices how jumpy April is, and asks if anything is wrong. April denies it, and asks Sunita to thoroughly check the menu for a dessert while she steps outside. April confronts Leo, asking if he and Donnie are actively trying to make her evening weird by fighting the Foot so close to her. She asks them to take the fight somewhere else and let her enjoy her night. April hurries back in, and grabs Sunita before she can eat.

April takes Sunita to a laser tag arena. The girls are having fun blasting other players with lasers, until April sees Leo fighting with Foot Recruit. April demands to know why the turtles are there. Leo explains that he and Donnie were trying to prevent anything weird from happening to April, but the Foot Clan keeps following her. Foot Recruit scoffs at this. April agrees to help the turtles fight the Foot, as long as they immediately leave once they are done. Leo agrees, and April springs into action. But, at that moment, so does Sunita, who delivers a flying kick to Foot Brute's face to stop him from attacking Donnie. Before the Foot can attack the girls, the turtles intervene. Sunita manages to get a good look at them, and asks April if they are mutant turtles. April confirms this, then asks if they could maybe hang out when the Foot Clan is not after her.

Sunita claims that the Foot Clan is actually after her. She tells April the Foot have been following her for days, and she is wearing a disguise so she could travel without being spotted. She presses her brooch and her human disguise disappears, revealing her true form: a slime yokai. She adds that her father is Exploding Frankie, and recognized the slime on April's shoulder as part of his eye. The girls notice Donnie and Leo being beaten up by the Foot, and April gives Sunita the idea to throw a "birthday party." April throws Sunita towards the Foot, and Sunita explodes, knocking them both away. Leo is unsure of what just happened, but Sunita reforms her body, then puts her disguise back on. Donnie teases April about still being a weirdness magnet, but April says that for her, weird is normal, and she is okay with it. Sunita asks Donnie to stop standing on a bit of slime so she can reform the rest of her toes, but notices that her boots are missing.

Back at the Foot Clan lair, Foot Recruit places Sunita's boots at the feet of the Dark Armor mannequin. They transform into clawed boots. Brute and Recruit both declare that the Dark Armor is nearly complete, and they are that much closer to obtaining its power.
