Old Hob and members of his gang confront Raphael and Casey in Change is Constant, part 3

Old Hob's gang were a gang of humans that Old Hob assembled in order to help him carry out the orders of Baxter Stockman, namely finding the Ninja Turtles.

They serve a similar narrative role to the Purple Dragons in first issue of the Mirage comic books with many of the members designs baring strong resemblances.

History[]

After being experimented on by Baxter Stockman and Chet Allen at StockGen for months, Old Hob convinced Stockman to let him hunt down Splinter and the Turtles. Reluctantly agreeing, Stockman sent Hob out onto the streets to begin the hunt and fronted him cash to aid in the search. It didn't take long for Hob to realize that cash was going to be useless without humans under him to help him use it, so he began to search for people he could recruit to his cause. Seeking out those on the streets without direction and the leaderless tough guys who were willing to do anything somebody told, he used cash incentives and his mutant strength and abnormal appearance to intimidate and physically beat them into joining his gang.

Filling a power vacuum in the city, Old Hob's gang rapidly grew in strength and numbers, as he led the existing members to fight and defeat other gangs for their territory, absorbing the members of each gang they defeated. The gang would eventually encounter and clash with Splinter, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello, experiencing their first real defeat at the mutant's hands.

Old Hob would manage to track down and catch Raphael and Casey Jones unaware, managing to subdue the two after an intense fight. However their victory was short lived due to the sudden interrupted by Raphael's long lost brothers. The gang would go on to clash with the turtles numerous times, with each encounter ending in defeat for Hob and often the defection of some of his gang's members. Eventually the dozen remaining of the gang refused to fight any more Mutant "Freaks", at which point Old Hob realized what his gang truly thought of him. This caused Hob to promptly dismiss them, effectively dissolving the gang.
