The apartment of the O'Neil family is a recurring location in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Description[]
The apartment of the O'Neil family is located in New York City within a larger apartment complex and is home to April O'Neil, her parents[1], and Mayhem. It is directly below the apartment of Baron Draxum.
Living room[]
The living room is lit by string lights and a central ceiling light. It possesses brown wood flooring, a blue three-cushion couch with a purple square pillow, and an orange recliner with two purple square pillows. Above the couch are two pictures with blue frames and a pink and purple poster. Behind the couch is a window with red drapes. Behind the recliner is a carpeted cat tree with sisal posts and a window with red drapes. Next to the door is a wood bookcase that stores books and has a maneki neko figurine on it and above the bookcase a purple poster is a hung on the wall. In "Race" a yellow umbrella stand is next to the bookcase. On the wall opposite of the door are two circular mirrors, the larger being above the smaller one, and below the mirrors is a wood wall shelf that has two potted cactuses and a potted succulent plant. In "Race" and "Repairin' the Baron" this wall's furnishing differs, instead being a beige bookcase with a record player and two black speakers on it and above it is a wall shelf that has books and framed pictures on it. In the corner made of the couch wall and the wall shelf wall is a large potted plant. The living room possesses a purple circular area rug with pink trim and a ceiling fan with four wood blades and gold hardware. Two of the living room walls directly opposite from one another are made of brown brick while the surrounding walls are not, the surrounding walls being light pink. The walls have brown crown molding and brown baseboards. Mayhem eats in the living room and has a green bowl with his name on it and his purple circular pet bed is placed on the floor near the door in "Race". The living room also has a flat screen TV with a grey border on top of a grey TV stand. On one side the TV stand is a baseball bat and a plant and on the other is a brown bookcase that stores books that seemingly has a record player on top of it.
Kitchen[]
The kitchen possesses off-white cabinets with brown countertops, a silver oven, and a white refrigerator. Above the oven is an under-the-cabinet range hood. The walls are brown.
Bathroom[]
The bathroom is lit by a round central ceiling light and a three-light vanity fixture. The bathroom possesses a sink with a two-handle faucet with a rectangular mirror that doubles as a medicine cabinet mounted above it. On one side the sink is a silver towel rack and on the other is a lidded brown laundry bin and a white wall shelf that holds a purple candle. Across from the mirror is the toilet and on the wall directly opposite from the door is the bathtub. The bathtub walls have blue tiles, a soap dish, and a cream curtain with an orange square print. Its showerhead allows it to also be used as a shower. A ceiling vent is placed above the bathtub. Next to the toilet is a framed illustration hung on the wall. The bathroom has a silver three-hook over the door hanger, a framed photograph of April and Mayhem, and a poster of the Statue of Liberty hung on the wall. Below the poster is a brown open wood cabinet that stores red towels, and next to the bathroom door are two beige light switches with beige cover plates. The walls are yellow and have brown crown molding and brown baseboards. Immediately outside of April's bathroom are three framed photographs and illustrations hung on the wall, one featuring Michelangelo, and a potted plant with a purple vase. One the other side is a wood dresser with a pile of folded clothes, a potted plant with a grey vase, and a maneki neko figurine in a kimono on top of it.
History[]
The apartment of the O'Neil family debuted in "The Fast and the Furriest". Donatello led his brothers on an investigation at April's apartment without invitation when the Turtle Tank was stolen to uncover the culprit of the thievery. The Turtles broke April's door entering the apartment and she kicked them out through a window using a baseball bat.
The apartment of the O'Neil family reappeared in "Hot Soup: The Game". Mikey traversed across its roof on his way to Montes Auction House.
April called Raphael, Leonardo, and Mikey over to the apartment of the O'Neil family in "Mystic Library" to assist her when Mayhem teleported and trapped himself in the bathroom mirror. After enduring the Turtles' destructive efforts to free Mayhem, April recruited Donnie who suggested upon arrived that he and his brothers go the the New York Public Library to find a solution.
April played The Purple Game in the living room of the O'Neil family apartment beside Mayhem in "The Purple Game".
In "Repairin' the Baron", Raph visited the apartment of the O'Neil family to help reattach the ceiling fan as the jumping of upstairs neighbor had made it fall. The ceiling fan was quickly knocked down once more and Raph left the O'Neil family apartment to confront the upstairs neighbor about the accident.
Splinter and the Turtles all conducted a race to the apartment of the O'Neil family with Splinter winning the victor's prize of a pizza in "Race".
