Synopsis[]
The Argosy theater is screening the 20th anniversary of the live-action “Space Heroes: The Movie”. The entire cast of the movie are expected to show up and Leonardo stands atop a nearby rooftop, watching for them through binoculars. Suddenly something comes zooming down from above and he dives out of the way as it explodes behind him. When Leo looks up, he sees Baxter Stockman wearing his Stockman-Pod armor.
They start fighting and Stockman rants that he doesn’t know how Leo discovered his revenge plan, but he won’t be allowed to stand in the way. Stockman is determined to make certain this anniversary of “Space Heroes” is canceled. Leo tells him that he had no idea Stockman was going to be there and then demands to know why he wants to stop the screening. He starts to geek out about “Space Heroes”, but Stockman knocks him down and reveals his story.
When Stockman was young (still in diapers) he discovered the first episode of “Space Heroes” and says he was very naïve back then. Leo promptly bops him on the head and says he doesn’t want Stockman’s life story, just why he wants to stop the movie. Stockman then admits that he not only likes the movie, he loves it and considers it art. He’s attacking because all the tickets were sold and he couldn’t get one. Stockman says he doesn’t expect a fake “Space Heroes” fan like Leo to understand.
Leo is incredulous, telling him that he’s been a fan his entire life. Stockman demands proof and challenges Leo to a deadly match of “Space Heroes” trivia… of DOOM! Leo accepts the challenge and the pair begin exchanging blows as they ask each other trivia questions. Below, the people in line for the movie notice the “robot vs. alien rooftop fight” from the third movie and laugh that real fans would know they should be dressed as Azurugions.
The pair battle on, neither missing a question put to them as they fight. Finally, several of Stockman’s missiles explode, knocking both of them down. The pair are exhausted. Stockman concedes that Leo might be a true fan and Leo admits that Stockman knows his “Space Heroes”. Leo starts to say how he can see why the movie being sold out would upset him when it dawns on both that they’ve completely forgotten about the movie.
Looking down from the rooftop they see a deserted street. The movie is over and everyone is gone. Leo laments his lost chance at seeing the actors and blames it on Stockman. In turn, Stockman blames his lost chance at vengeance on Leo.
Quoting a line from the TV show about “space revenge” being a dish served repeatedly and unexpectedly, Stockman blasts off. Leo shrugs off the veiled threat and then warns Stockman to watch out for the billboard that’s right behind him. Stockman gloats that he’s the winner because what Leo just said is not a line from “Space Heroes”. He isn’t looking where he’s going and plows right into the billboard. Leo crosses his arms, strikes a pose, and quotes Captain Ryan from episode 93 – declaring “Game over”.
