The Ninja Turtles are a quartet of mutant turtles in their late teens, trained in the art of ninjutsu. The exploits of the version of the team is loosely based on the 2007 film, TMNT.
History[]
In order to bolster Leonardo's leadership skills, Splinter sent him to Costa Rica. There, he found a magical medallion, and combatted an oppressive militia. In his absence, his brothers became a bit more fragmented; although Michelangelo and Donatello still worked together as a party entertainer and his remote support, respectively, Raphael had donned a suit of biker armor and was operating as a vigilante known as Nightwatcher, spending his nights fighting crime and days sleeping.
Leo eventually returned to New York and the brothers were reunited. Splinter insisted they repair their fractured relationship, especially as Raph remained angry that Leo left them in the first place. They proceed to participate in a game of "Ninja Tag" to build camaraderie again. This game is interrupted by some suspicious noises coming from a nearby construction site, which turns out to be a bigfoot being confronted by Karai and the Foot Clan. After the three-way clash between the Turtles, the Foot, and the bigfoot, the latter is extracted by four mysterious figures.
After returning to lick their wounds, Raph set out to find answers on his own, confronting a "Jersey Devil" at a diner. After coming out on top over the devil, he is confronted by Leo, who doesn't recognize Raph under the Nightwatcher armor. They fight and the tensions run even hotter once Leo knocks off Raph's helmet and realizes it's him. After getting one over on Leo, Raph turns to run but hears Leo get captured by those same mysterious figures in the distance.
Raph felt immense guilt at getting Leo captured, so he returned to his family and told them what happened, admitting his part in in allowing it to happen, even if unintentionally. Splinter, the remaining Turtles, April, and Casey headed out to save Leo at Winters Corp - by this time, they'd deduced that April's employer Max Winters was secretly the 3000+ year old warrior Yaotl and Leo's captors were his Stone Generals.
When they arrive, it turns out not everything is as they had thought; Yaotl tasked the Generals and Foot to locate and return the Thirteen Monsters that had escaped from the portal he'd opened 3000 years ago so that he can finally die, having found immortality too much of a burden. However, his Generals had only spent the last 3000 years as statues, and did not want to die, so they captured Leo in lieu of the final monster so that the portal would not trigger their death. Part of the team goes to hunt down the final monster while the other part holds off the Generals and the incoming portal monsters. They return with the monster and Yaotl is finally given peace and his Generals are similarly killed. Karai hints that despite their semi-truce with the Foot that day, a familiar face from their past may be coming back soon. TMNT (console game) TMNT (Game Boy Advance game) TMNT (handheld game)
Some time later, Splinter holds a family tournament to compete for prizes on his trophy shelf, hoping it would be a good bonding exercise. The Turtles, Splinter, Casey, and April all compete, but they are interrupted by a distress call from their friend, Honeycutt, who has been captured by the Foot, now led by the restored Shredder. Don decides to utilize the Time Scepter to have them jump straight to Japan, where he is being held, but an impromptu attack from a giant alligator, and unfamiliarity with the Scepter's usage, leads them to various locales and time periods before finally arriving. The Turtles beat the Foot and rescue Honeycutt. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up
