The Ninja Tribunal are an ancient ninja clan, reported to be the first ever in existence. From their home at the Lap of the Gods in Japan, they summoned the Ninja Turtles to be their newest Acolytes and train in special mystic ninjutsu to take down their resurrected defected member, Oroku Saki the demon Shredder.
The Tribunal has the Turtles kidnapped and shipped to Japan on a massive ornate boat. Immediately after arriving, the Turtles are ambushed by the Tribunal's woodwork battle servants, the Mokusai no Bushi. After defeating them, the Turtles head to the Lap of the Gods and the Tribunal introduces themselves, then immediately get to work training the Turtles. Hisomi, the silent master of stealth, begins their training by having them reach the opposite end of a series of bridges and stone paths without alerting a dragon, or the snakes that will alert the dragons by noise.
The next training method begins with Juto challenging the Turtles to level up their skills by fighting through hordes of Sparks and Lavas. At the end of the path, they find four treasure chests which upgrade their weapons.
Next, Chikara teaches them the benefits of the mystical powers they have acquired with their medallions, by fighting Stone Onai, which are immune to weapon damage.
