The Nightwatcher Armor is mystically enhanced set of armor created by an elderly mutant sheep and has partnered with the mutant vigilante Jennika in her quest to protect mutant town and the rest of New York
History[]
A woman migrated to the USA in her youth, but one day that her family was slaughtered when she was just a child because of petty racism and prejudices. After the M-Bomb and she became an elderly mutant sheep, she knew that mutant kind would go through the same prejudices her family experienced, so she used some magic from her home country to create living armor that would become a protector.
Unfortunately, because the armor was new to the world it was very naive and had very little understanding of just about everything around it. Also, due to a mistake made during the spell that brought it to life, the armor was too single-minded and did not think things through, invertedly kidnapping two other mutants it thought it was helping. On that same night the ninja turtle known as Jennika came to rescue the mutants, where she learned the history of the strange meatal being before. The creator accidently got hit by a cop's stray bullet and did not have much time left so she entrusted the armor to Jennika because of what she heard about the young female mutant. Jennika was reluctant at first, but she ultimately donned the armor and the crime fighter known as the "Nightwatcher" was born. Nightwatcher #2
Just as the mutant crime boss Lao Ban critically injured Jennika and was about to kill her, the armor awoke to protect its host, and it overpowered Lao Ban. Nightwatcher #5
The armor eventually broke free to try and find its place in the world. Jennika spent weeks tracking the armor who was now roaming the streets like a semi-feral creature. Jennika and Nightwatcher eventually came head-to-head on a rooftop as the female turtle ninja had decide to help the living armor resolve its issues by fighting it. Nightwatcher #6
Powers & Abilities[]
- Enhanced Strength:
- Self-awareness: It' creator made it sentient, but it is believed that she did not perform the spell correctly and as it could not understand the nuances of its purpose as a protector at first and needed someone to guide it.
- Metal Manipulation: The armor is able to extend parts of itself and/or make parts of itself razor sharp.
Personality[]
The Armor is very aggressive and single minded, needing a partner to wear it to keep it in line. As Nightwatcher slowly came to grips of its very existences it went through something of an identity crisis.
