In the 1987 TV series episode Return of the Technodrome, Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady take over the power station, and attach the Polarity Deflector to the control panel. Draining the power station on electricity, it opens a portal between Earth and the unnamed rocky Dimension X world. When the Ninja Turtles break into the station and shut down the power by stopping the flow of the Niagara River, Krang uses reserve power to reopen the portal and bring the Technodrome to Earth.
