The Niagara Falls are a real-life trio of waterfalls situated at the border between Ontario in Canada and Upstate New York in the United States. They form along the Niagara River that drains the waters of Lake Erie into Lake Ontario. The three waterfalls, from largest to smallest, are the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side and the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls on the U.S. side.

The episode Return of the Technodrome of the 1987 TV seriesis set at Niagara Falls, when Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady take over the waterfalls hydroelectric power station, and use it to repower the Technodrome, allowing it to return to Earth from Dimension X.
